The South Saskatchewan Community Foundation exists to support other charities whose work helps make our communities better places to live…A charity for charities.

The South Saskatchewan Community Foundation funds a broad spectrum of interests including arts and culture, health, education, sports and recreation, social services, youth, seniors, relief of poverty, animal welfare and the environment.

In 2009, 190 grants were given totaling $861,515.00

Grant Applications & Guidelines

Projects proposals not eligible for funding are those that:

a) promote political activities or support advocacy initiatives;
b) support operating expenses of established organizations programs;
c) go towards operating or capital deficits;
d) go towards annual fund drives for sustaining support;
e) support religious organizations for direct religious activities;
f) promote political activities or support advocacy initiatives;
g) provide general conference support
